January 2008 - SCHOOLS CAN NOW ASK PARENTS TO REPLY TO GROUPCALL TEXTS

Groupcall has added an incoming text function to its Messenger software, the text & voice messaging system preferred by 1000 UK primary and secondary schools. Now, at the discretion of the individual school, parents can be offered the ability to reply to an SMS message sent by the school by text. Responses come back to the school via the Groupcall system and are linked to the outgoing message for easy monitoring.

"This is just another added value facility that we can offer through the Messenger system," explains Groupcall's Technical Director, Alex Felton. "The important thing to remember, though, is that throughout, it is the school that is in charge of the process."
