Messenger ‘delivers’ in the snow!
On Monday 2nd February over 250,000 SMS messages were sent to parents via Groupcall Messenger. By the end of the week almost 600,000 messages were sent during some of the worst snow falls for 18 years.
The media widely reported that:
– Thousands of schools were closed
– One headmaster in Wiltshire was forced to camp out in his school for more than 5 days!
– After the snow melted in many parts of the country, floods have since caused further disruption
Over the last couple of weeks many schools have reported that Groupcall Messenger has been invaluable in quickly and efficiently getting school closure messages out to parents.
