Groupcall at BETT 2010
Groupcall celebrated our 6th year at BETT with a brand new stand. BETT is the world's largest educational technology event which was held at London's Olympia on January 13th - 16th.
Our stand was extremely busy over the four days of the show, as schools sought an integrated solution that allows them to contact all their parents and staff, for a wide variety of reasons, not least after the recent snow closures.
Representatives from Local Authorities were also visitors to our stand, buoyed by Manchester City Councils decision to install Groupcall Messenger in all of their 167 schools, together with Groupcall's leading data extraction services, including our read/write SIF agent. Sir Bob Geldof, founding partner of Groupcall, also paid a visit to BETT.
Sir Bob, who sees Messenger as vital to the safety and security of children, spoke to the press about our work with parental engagement. Amongst his interviewees were a group of Children from Willingham Community School in Lincoln who won an NEN (National Education Network) school journalism competition.
