Groupcall Messenger provides an easy-to-use solution for
parental communications.

The system gives schools the ability to send text messages (SMS), emails, and automated voice calls to the mobile phones and landlines of parents, staff and key contacts. The automated voice facility also includes the ability to automatically send messages in any one of our growing library of languages.

Messenger allows recipients of messages to respond to the school, and allows a school to keep a full audit trail of all communications.

Messenger fully integrates with all major UK Management Information Systems (MIS) and accesses student, staff and attendance data in real-time, providing a complete solution for instant messaging to parents and the school's wider community. Messenger is installed in over 2,500 primary and secondary schools in the UK delivering in excess of 1,500,000 text  messages per month and has been independently proven to reduce unauthorised absence, increase attendance and improve parental communication whilst dramatically reducing costs and improving administration efficiency.
Groupcall Messenger supports the government’s online reporting to parent’s initiative and can add value by ‘pushing’ relevant information to parents. This would typically be a text/email telling them about some specific activity/action/achievement relating to their child.

This is achieved by Messenger’s online reporting tab that covers the following key categories:

Attendance, Behaviour, Progress, Attainment and Special Educational Needs.

Please see below for a list of the latest features and functions that are now available in Messenger 4:

1. Send text messages to multiple parent contacts including students.

2. Notification of any unread incoming text messages.

3. Automatic reminder to synchronise your groups to the website if this has not been done within the last 7 days.

4. Auto-creation plus publication of all staff and pupil groups to the website.

5. Ability to send larger attachments and the size has increased to 2Mb up to and including 10 attachments.

6. Ability to send multiple attachments within one message.

7. User will be alerted if an incoming text/voice message has arrived.

8. The ability to use the 'known as name' i.e. William/Bill from your MIS.

9. Ability to export users that missing details to a spreadsheet.

10. Ability to remove duplicate emails to siblings.

11. Write-back for Serco Facility is now available (if ePortal is present).

12. If you go over 160 characters within your text message, the text now changes to red so you can monitor how many units are being used for each message sent.

13. Ability to check your usage and see the number of SMS and units sent in the Message Analyser (this excludes those sent remotely).

14. Vastly improved online reporting function.
