How it Works - Voice |
![]() |
Text to speech:
The user can write a message in text format. This will be converted into speech format, and delivered to the recipient.
Pre-recorded multilingual messages:
Groupcall Messenger has created a bank of pre-recorded standard messages in 14 languages. Voice messages are automatically assigned to contacts that do not own a mobile phone, or those who prefer communications via a land line.
Custom messages recorded by the school:
Using a microphone the school can record and save a voice message. This may be preferred by some recipients as it is a familiar voice which they can relate to.
If appropriate, recipients can respond to a voice message. Unlike a text message, replying to a voice message will not cost the recipient any money. This is particularly useful for non-responsive parents who may use a lack of funds/credits as a reason for not responding to the school!
All voice messages left for the school will be saved on the Groupcall System rather than the schools answer phone. As well as freeing up space on the answer phone, this also helps to keep the schools phone lines free, especially early in the morning. Voice messages are permanently stored and accessible at any time.
