Groupcall take data security and safeguarding issues very seriously.

We currently have over 5,000 schools, Local Authorities, businesses, charities and other organisations using our system, with data on over 6 million students, parents, staff and other contacts.

In addition, Groupcall provide the technology behind the enhanced Child Rescue Alert system which enables the UK police to immediately alert members of the public in the case of abducted children (

To protect this data we have the following in place:

  • Every one of our employees is subject to a full Employee Check
  • Access to our internal systems is controlled, with permissions granted according to the staffrole and requirements only
  • As a company we are accredited to ISO 27001 – the international standard for Information Security Management. This requires us to maintain a full Information Security Management system with checks and balances throughout and we are also audited annually by anexternal verifier to ensure that we are protecting the data at all times
  • We are also accredited to ISO 9001 – the international standard for Quality systems, ensuring that our processes and systems are also externally audited to ensure consistency throughout, resulting in the same high quality outcomes at all times
  • We are accredited on the UK Government G-Cloud 5 and G-Cloud 6 Frameworks whereby all of our products/solutions have been fully assessed and approved for purchase by Government departments, Local Authorities, Public Bodies etc.
  • Our messaging platform uses a secure website with the data being encrypted throughout
  • Access to the messaging platform is controlled by individual unique user names and passwords with additional permissions built in so that access can be limited down to a granular level if required
  • The messaging system has a full and permanent audit trail which records every message sentor received with details of the date and time sent, who sent it, the content etc. This audit trail cannot be deleted and is retained permanently in case of any need to evidence messages sent or received at a later date.
