Start using Xpressions in just 3 easy steps. 

Setting up Xpressions?

An account is automatically created for each parent, using your email address and mobile phone number when your child’s school signs up to use Xpressions. Important: You must ensure your child’s school has the right contact details on their database to use the Groupcall Xpressions app.

 

The steps below are for first time Xpressions users. If you have already set up Xpressions and are trying to login, see Logging in and out.

APP SET-UP

  1. Open the Xpressions App and enter the email address that your child’s school has stored for you. Tap Next.
    Note: Please ensure that you are running an up to date operating system on your mobile device.
  2. You will then be asked to enter your mobile phone number. This should be the number that your child’s school has stored for you or the app won’t recognise you as a parent.
  3. A 6 digit verification code will be sent to you via text message containing. Enter this code and tap Login.
    If you have not received a code after a short period of time, press ‘Resend Code’. If you experience any difficulty, contact your child’s school to ensure they have the correct contact details stored for you.
    ** This is the most common issue for failed login attempts **

You have now set up Xpressions. To secure your device please follow the steps below.

 

  1. You now have the option to create a password.
    We recommend that you follow this step to make logging in easier, and to protect your data.
  2. To keep your child’s data secure you need to choose a 4 digit passcode. If you have a fingerprint authentication feature on your mobile device, you can use this in place of a passcode. You can enable fingerprint authentication via your phone’s settings area.
    Note: Completing this step allows you to stay logged into the app while ensuring your account remains safe.

DESKTOP SET-UP

The setup process for desktop use is almost identical to the app. The main difference is you won’t be asked to set a 4 digit passcode before you login.

  1. Navigate to Xpressions desktop login and click Login to display the email field.
  2. Enter the email address that your child’s school has stored for you. Click Next.
  3. You will then be asked to enter your mobile phone number. Then click Next. This should be the number that your child’s school has stored for you or the app won’t recognise you as a parent.
  4. A 6 digit verification code will be sent to you via text message. Enter this code and click Login.
  5. You now have the option to create a password. 

We recommend you follow this step to make logging in easier in the future.

Logging in and logging out

You should stay logged into your Xpressions App in order to receive push notifications when your child’s school sends you messages and alerts. You can ensure your child’s data is secure by setting a 4 digit passcode or enabling fingerprint authentication via your phone’s settings area.

If you do need to log out of the app, you can follow the steps below to get logged back in.

THE APP

  1. If you have logged out of the app on your mobile device, it will remember your email address. Simply re-enter your mobile phone number and password to log back in.
  2. If you have deleted the app for troubleshooting purposes, you will be required to re-enter both your email address and mobile phone number, and then enter the password you previously set.

 Using Xpressions

When you login to Xpressions you’ll immediately see your Timeline. This displays all of the Xpressions that your child’s school has sent you, with the ability to filter to help you quickly find the information that’s important to you.

FLAG

Separate important messages using the flag feature. Simply tap your messages white flag icon and then filter your timeline to view all of your flagged messages. You can unmark messages when they are no longer important by tapping the, now red, flag icon.

FILTERS

Quickly find the information you need with filters. Tap the filter button at the top of your timeline and choose the category of messages that you want to view. To clear the filter and view all messages, tap remove-filter-button.

Access to Xpressions features depends on the feature set your child’s school has purchased. The table below, shows the available features within the Xpressions app. Groupcall are not responsible for the data shown within the app, or the features you have access to. Please discuss all matters relating to this with your child’s school.
