Groupcall’s MIS Systems Interoperability Framework (SIF) agent has been purchased by major public sector organisations, and is being rolled out to over 1,000 schools.
SIF, the standard for interoperability between schools and local government has been adopted by Birmingham City Council, Warwickshire County Council, the South West Grid for Learning, Cynnal and others. They all selected Groupcall’s MIS SIF agent to enable effective and secure data movement around the Local Authority (LA) from the school. The “SIF” agent provides read and write capabilities to all major school MIS solutions, including SIMS.NET and Serco Facility, and enables users to update and amend key data.
Lawrence Royston, managing director of Groupcall comments: “To have our SIF solution procured by more than 1,000 schools and championed by such major establishments within the education community is a great achievement. It shows that SIF has moved on from being a technology discussed by people with anoraks at the back of conferences; to a real solution which has been broadly adopted by education suppliers and deployed by LAs and RBCs to their schools. It solves problems that haven’t been solved before. The number of organisations talking about deploying SIF is increasing daily.”
Groupcall is a full member of the SIF Association, and currently the only organisation able to provide an SIF agent for both SIMS.Net and Serco Facility.
